Factors That Affect Factory Film Prices

Factory filming has different cost items from a standard corporate film. Understanding these items helps you assess whether the quotations you receive are realistic.

Facility Size and Filming Area

A 2,000 m² facility with one production line and a 50,000 m² factory with multiple lines have completely different filming requirements. Larger facilities require more filming days and a broader equipment package, while drone filming becomes almost essential.

When outdoor areas such as open warehouses, storage sites and logistics zones are included in the scope, additional time and planning are required.

OH&S-Compliant Filming Plans

Full compliance with occupational health and safety rules is mandatory when filming factories. The crew must use PPE, obtain permission to film in hazardous areas and work without interfering with the production line.

Drone Filming

Drone filming has become a standard expectation in factory films. An aerial view of the facility communicates production capacity and infrastructure scale in the most effective way. In export-focused films in particular, overseas buyers assess the physical size of the facility through aerial images.

Drone filming generally adds between 5,000 and 15,000 TL to the cost. However, many agencies include this item in the package price. Drone filming is included as standard in Medyabox factory projects.

Special flight permission may be required in organised industrial zones and at facilities near military areas. This permission process takes between 3 and 10 working days and should be included in the planning schedule.

Multilingual Voice-Over and Subtitles

Factory films for exporters are generally prepared in more than one language. In addition to the principal Turkish version, English, German, Arabic, Russian or French versions are requested.

Each additional voice-over language adds between 5,000 and 12,000 TL to the cost. Choosing subtitles instead of professional voice-over reduces this cost but also reduces the professional perception of the film. Professional voice-over is recommended for export-focused companies.

Out-of-City Filming Logistics

If your factory is outside Istanbul—for example, in Gebze, Çerkezköy, Bursa, Ankara or Gaziantep—the crew's travel and, where required, accommodation costs are added to the budget. This item generally accounts for between 5% and 15% of the total budget.

Two filming days, multiple production areas, a film duration of 3–5 minutes, drone filming included, professional Turkish and English voice-over, detailed editing, colour grading and licensed music.

Price range: 100,000 TL–200,000 TL

This package is suitable for projects covering multiple production lines, laboratories, R&D, logistics and administrative areas. It is the standard choice for medium-sized and large exporting factories.

Premium Factory Film

Three or more filming days, multiple facilities or locations, cinematic visual language, multilingual voice-over, motion-graphic-supported narration, product-detail filming and comprehensive post-production.

Price range: 200,000 TL–400,000 TL+

A premium solution for holding groups, multi-facility organisations and companies with high international export volumes.

Hygiene rules directly affect filming conditions in food factories. Compliance with clean-room standards, special-clothing requirements and restrictions on access to certain areas extend the planning process. Product filming requires a dedicated lighting setup.

How many days does factory filming take?

A standard factory project requires 1 to 2 filming days. This may increase to 3 days for large facilities or factories with multiple lines. Final delivery is completed within 7–10 working days after filming; the pre-production schedule depends on permission and planning processes.

Do we have to stop production?

No. Medyabox specialises in filming without stopping production. The filming plan is prepared around the production flow. Short stoppages may be required for critical scenes, but these are planned in advance and production loss is minimised.

Can drone filming be completed at every factory?
