Explore Our Work

Every commercial film is shaped around the brand’s language and audience. It begins with strategy and is completed through a cinematic narrative.

Bi Kutu Mutluluk Commercial Film

For this New Year commercial, we presented the emotion of gift-giving through a warm, playful and memorable story.

Year 2021  |  Location Istanbul  |  Service  Commercial Film  |  Sector  Gifts and E-commerce  | Delivery TR

For Bi Kutu Mutluluk, we brought together the warmth of the New Year period and the excitement of gift-giving in a concise but effective story. This time, Santa Claus is not rushing around; he is relaxed and enjoying himself because Bi Kutu Mutluluk has taken responsibility for delivering the gifts. While watching television at home, he sees the brand distributing presents on screen, snacks contentedly and enjoys the season. Built on a warm and humorous idea, the film created a distinctive narrative language that stood apart from conventional gift advertising while remaining entertaining and memorable.

Dentopol Commercial Film

A television-commercial project presenting a campaign message for implant and cosmetic dental treatments through a concise and direct advertising structure.

Year 2025  |  Location Istanbul  |  Service Commercial Film  |  Sector  Oral and Dental Health  | Delivery TR

For Dentopol, we presented the campaign message for aesthetic dental treatments such as implants and zirconium restorations through a concise, clear and direct structure. The film was built around a straightforward offer aimed particularly at patients planning treatment from abroad. Instead of an aggressive sales tone, we preferred a memorable communication structure that described the opportunity clearly and was easy to follow. The clean visual language supported the clarity of the campaign message.

Margot Commercial Film

A short studio commercial built around music and lighting rhythm, using visual atmosphere to reinforce the feel of the product.

Year 2024  |  Location Istanbul  |  Service Commercial Film  |  Sector Cosmetics / Personal Care | Delivery EN

For Margot, we developed a short, fast-moving structure with a strong visual rhythm around the product-focused message. The entire film was shot in a studio, with controlled lighting, close-up details and a tempo aligned to the music forming the central approach. Neon lighting, colour transitions and rhythmic editing were brought to the foreground. The objective was not to build a long narrative, but to create an advertising language that attracted attention quickly, reinforced the product feel and delivered a strong visual atmosphere. Rather than following a conventional story, the compact film progressed through image, pace and style.

OUR WORKING METHODOLOGY

Production Process

Through a structured six-stage process from strategy to delivery, we turn your brand story into a planned, visually refined and effective film.

01

BRIEF & ANALYSIS

A successful commercial begins with a clear strategy. We analyse the brand’s market position, target audience and campaign objectives to create the project roadmap. The process starts by answering “Who are we speaking to, what are we saying and how should we say it?” through a combination of data and creative judgement.

02

CONCEPT & SCRIPT

We turn strategic objectives into a strong story that connects with the audience. The script is memorable, persuasive and consistent with the brand identity. Rather than writing only the words, we design the foundation of the visual world and define the emotional tone and central message.

03

LOCATION SELECTION

Before filming, we confirm the technical and creative requirements. Location scouting, casting and art direction are completed at this stage, together with the equipment, logistics and production plan required for the shoot to run without disruption.

04

PRODUCTION

We bring the approved script to life using current camera, lighting and sound equipment. Led by the director, the professional crew aims for cinematic quality in every frame. The shoot is managed with set discipline, accurate time control and high production standards, creating strong visual material for the edit.

05

EDIT & COLOUR (CRAFT)

This is the critical stage where the footage becomes the finished film. Professional editing, colour grading, sound design and visual effects establish the atmosphere. The brand’s visual language is shaped into a dynamic, fluid and engaging whole that holds the viewer’s attention.

06

Delivery Process

The approved commercial is optimised in the formats and resolutions required for TV, digital and social-media distribution. We deliver broadcast-ready master files that meet the relevant technical specifications.

Commercial Film: The Power to Move Your Audience

A commercial film does more than show a product or service. It presents it to the right audience through a strong, attention-grabbing and memorable language. As competition in the digital environment grows, visibility alone is not enough. The objective is to create interest, build trust and make the brand more desirable. A professional commercial film makes the message visible through an aesthetic, strategic and effective video language.

The aim is not simply to produce good images, but to capture the audience’s attention, strengthen brand value and create an effect that supports purchase motivation. Commercial film is therefore one of the most effective formats in which creativity, editing discipline and commercial judgement work together.

It is one of the strongest video solutions for shaping perception, generating attention and moving viewers closer to action.

Why Work with a Professional Production Agency?

In a competitive business environment, ordinary images cannot create meaningful differentiation. Protecting brand prestige and supporting sales targets requires a controlled production process rather than leaving the result to chance.

Strategic Partnership and Analysis

A strong commercial begins at the table before the camera starts recording. Every frame filmed without audience analysis, competitor review and the correct channel strategy risks wasting budget. We provide a strategic roadmap designed to strengthen the brand’s market position.

Creative Vision and Storytelling

Technical equipment alone is not enough; the real difference comes from the idea. We shape the brand message through an original, creative and visually refined script language that remains in the viewer’s mind, bringing unexpected concepts to life through cinematic storytelling.

Commercial Film Guide

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COMMERCIAL FILM PRODUCTION

Commercial film production is a strategic investment designed to deliver a brand’s product or service to the target audience through the right language, channel and timing. Below, we examine commercial formats, channel differences and the technical dimensions of production.

What Is the Difference Between a Commercial Film and a Corporate Video?

These two formats are often confused, but their objectives are fundamentally different.

A corporate video answers the question, “Who are we?” It focuses on the organisation’s identity, structure, values and overall strength. It usually runs for two to three minutes and is used on the website, at trade fairs, in investor presentations and in corporate communication.

A commercial film answers the question, “Why should you buy this?” It highlights a specific product, service or campaign. It is shorter, more dynamic and designed around a direct action. Commercials from 15 to 60 seconds are distributed on TV, digital platforms, social media and out-of-home channels.

A corporate video builds trust; a commercial film supports sales. If the appropriate format is not yet clear, we assess the requirement together during the briefing stage. In some projects, both formats can be produced within the same production process.

Types of Commercial Film

Every campaign has a different objective, audience and distribution channel. Selecting the right type of commercial film is fundamental to using the budget efficiently and communicating the message with impact.

Television Commercial

Television remains a powerful channel for brands that need broad reach. Commercials are commonly produced in 15-, 30- or 45-second formats and require master-file delivery that meets broadcaster specifications. Production quality directly shapes brand perception on television; lighting, sound, performance and editing must be controlled in every frame.

TV-commercial production usually requires a higher budget than other formats. Casting, set design, art direction and usage rights create additional cost items. A correctly planned TV campaign can, however, create a significant increase in brand awareness.

Digital Commercial

These commercials are produced for YouTube pre-roll, programmatic advertising, website-banner video and email-marketing campaigns. The first three to five seconds are critical: the viewer decides within that period whether to continue watching.

Digital commercials are generally kept between 15 and 30 seconds. The call to action must be clear, the message direct and the visual hook strong. Multiple versions can be produced for A/B testing.

Social Media Commercial

These are video commercials produced for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn. Each platform has its own viewing behaviour, content conventions and technical format. A 9:16 vertical format is preferred for Instagram Reels and TikTok, while LinkedIn may use 16:9 landscape or 1:1 square formats.

Social-media commercials require a careful balance between organic content language and advertising language. Content that looks excessively promotional is quickly skipped. The tone needs to feel natural, attention-grabbing and native to the platform.

Brand Manifesto Film

A commercial format that presents the brand’s values, vision and position through a strong narrative. It does not aim for immediate product sales; instead, it strengthens brand perception and emotional connection. These films are generally produced with a cinematic language and run for 60–90 seconds.

Brand-manifesto films are especially effective during repositioning, rebranding or launch periods. They communicate the message “who we are and what we believe” with clarity and impact.

Campaign Series

A series structure made up of multiple connected commercials rather than one standalone film. Each film presents a different aspect of the same campaign concept. This approach supports sustained visibility, particularly across digital channels.

The visual language, music, colour palette and tone must remain consistent across the series. The first film captures attention; later films reinforce the message and increase brand recall.

Product Commercial

A commercial format that highlights a specific product’s features, benefits and user experience. Product detail shots, use scenarios and benefit-led messaging form the basis of these films.

For e-commerce brands, FMCG companies and technology businesses, product commercials are among the most direct sales tools. The difference between a product video and a product commercial is the intention: a product video informs, while a commercial creates purchase motivation. Commercial Film Production Process

A professional commercial is created through a planned and controlled production process at every stage.

Brief and Strategy

Everything begins with the right brief. The brand’s target audience, campaign objective, competitive context, distribution channels and budget are analysed at this stage. The brief must clarify what the film will sell, who it will address and which emotion it should trigger.

Creative Development and Script

A creative concept is developed from the brief. The idea, story structure, characters and message flow take shape at this stage. A good commercial script captures attention, communicates the message clearly and creates a desire to act. Once the script is approved, a storyboard is prepared.

Pre-Production

All preparation is completed before the shoot. Location scouting, casting, set design, costume, make-up, equipment planning and logistics coordination are handled at this stage. The quality of pre-production directly determines the efficiency of the filming day.

Filming

The approved script and storyboard are executed on location with a professional crew and equipment. Under the director’s leadership, performance direction, camera movement, lighting design and sound recording progress in parallel. Set discipline and time management are critical in commercial-film production.

Post-Production

The footage is assembled in the edit. Colour grading, sound design, music, visual effects and any required motion graphics are completed. Post-production contributes more to the final quality than any other stage; the same raw footage can produce dramatically different results depending on the craft applied.

Channel Adaptation and Delivery

The approved film is optimised for each distribution channel. Deliverables may include a TV master, a YouTube pre-roll version, a vertical Instagram format and a square LinkedIn version. The delivery process is significantly faster when the intended channels are confirmed at the start of the project.

Why Channel Selection Matters in Commercial Production

The same commercial will not create the same effect on every channel. A film that works strongly on television may be skipped within the first two seconds on Instagram. An opening that performs on YouTube pre-roll may feel tonally wrong on LinkedIn.

Television is powerful for broad reach but has a high budget requirement. YouTube and digital platforms support targeted distribution by age, interest and geography. Instagram and TikTok offer short-form attention and viral potential. LinkedIn is effective for B2B communication and corporate brand perception.

Selecting the right channel is fundamental to using the budget efficiently and reaching the intended audience. We assess the most suitable channel mix for the campaign during the briefing stage.

What Determines Commercial Film Pricing?

Commercial-film pricing varies widely according to production scope. The main variables are:

Script structure is the first determining factor. There is a significant difference between a studio product commercial and a production with actors, designed sets and multiple locations.

Casting is an important cost item. Professional actors, extras, models or celebrity talent directly affect the budget, and usage rights must be defined clearly in the agreement.

Location and set design also matter. Studio, exterior and specialist-location shoots have different cost structures. Art-directed sets require additional budget for scenery, props and stage dressing.

Post-production determines the final quality. There is a meaningful difference in both time and cost between a simple edit and comprehensive work involving detailed colour grading, sound design, visual effects and motion graphics.

The number of channels and delivery versions also affects the price. A single version for one channel is different in scope from multi-format delivery for TV, digital and social media.

Why Script Is Everything in a Commercial Film

Technical quality matters, but the idea is what moves the audience. 4K resolution, precise colour grading and professional performance create a strong foundation, but none of them can conceal a weak concept.

A strong commercial script does three things at once: captures attention, communicates the message clearly and creates action. If the film does not engage the viewer within the first three seconds, the remaining 27 seconds are likely to be wasted. Commercial scripts are therefore built as compressed, effective structures rather than long narratives.

At Medyabox, the creative process begins at the briefing stage for every commercial project. Even when a ready-made idea exists, we work with you to strengthen it and adapt it to the language of the selected channel. Where no idea exists, we develop one from the ground up.

Casting and Performance Direction in Commercial Films

Choosing the right performer directly affects the credibility of a commercial and its impact on the audience. The selected talent should match the brand’s tone, behave naturally on camera and give the target audience someone with whom they can identify.

The casting process is shaped by the structure of the project. Some films require professional actors, while real users or company employees may create a stronger effect in others. Celebrity talent can increase brand awareness quickly, but has a significant impact on both budget and usage-rights scope.

Performance direction on the shoot day is the director’s responsibility. The right emotion, pace and expression are achieved through effective direction rather than simply repeating the scene many times.

When Should a Commercial Film Be Produced?

The timing of commercial-film production directly affects the campaign’s impact.

The commercial should be ready before a new product launch. To support simultaneous distribution across digital and traditional channels as soon as the product enters the market, production should ideally begin at least six to eight weeks before launch.

Timing is critical for seasonal campaigns. Advertising activity increases around New Year, public holidays, back-to-school periods and the summer season. To stand out during these windows, production should begin at least four to six weeks before the campaign date.

During rebranding or repositioning, a commercial film is one of the strongest ways to announce the new identity. A new logo, slogan or shift in target audience can be communicated quickly and at scale through film.

When a rapid response to competitor activity is required, lower-budget but effective digital commercials can be produced within a shorter timeframe. Speed and flexibility become the priority in these projects.
