Orientation Film

This is the fundamental training material that every newly recruited employee should watch on the first day. It covers the facility's general OH&S rules, emergency exits, assembly areas, the locations of first-aid cabinets and basic safety procedures. It should be filmed at the facility because employees need to recognise their own workplace. Duration: 5–10 minutes.

PPE-Use Film

This film shows the correct use of personal protective equipment. Reconstructions demonstrate when PPE such as helmets, safety glasses, steel-toe footwear, gloves, hearing protection and respiratory masks should be worn, how it should be checked and when it should be replaced. A correct-versus-incorrect comparison is the most effective format. Duration: 5–8 minutes.

Working-at-Height Safety Film

This is one of the risk categories associated with the highest number of fatal workplace accidents in Türkiye. It covers scaffold use, attaching safety harnesses, platform safety and fall-prevention systems. Reconstruction scenes require exceptional care and safety precautions. Duration: 8–12 minutes.

Emergency and Fire-Safety Film

Emergency response, fire, evacuation, assembly areas and reporting procedures are critical subjects in the training plan according to workplace risks. Filming a real drill can become powerful training material when the drill's safety and recording requirements are planned separately. An 8–12-minute module can be planned according to the project scope.

Chemical-Safety Film

Reading SDS/MSDS documents, storage, spill response and personal-protection steps are critical content according to the risk assessment in chemical, pharmaceutical, paint and cosmetics workplaces. Motion graphics make abstract concepts concrete. A 10–15-minute module can be planned according to the project scope.

LOTO (Lockout–Tagout) Procedures Film

This film shows the procedure for safely isolating machinery energy sources during maintenance and repair work. The lockout and tagout process is explained clearly through step-by-step reconstruction. It is one of the critical OH&S subjects in manufacturing. Duration: 8–12 minutes.

Why Is Reconstruction One of the Strongest Methods?

Reconstruction scenes are the strongest element of an OH&S training film. Watching the consequence of incorrect behaviour and the correct action is much more effective than reading text. The viewer learns the correct procedure through a do-not-do/do comparison.

An OH&S film produced without reconstruction becomes like a narrated slideshow and has low training effectiveness. When employees do not see risks concretely, they perceive the rules as abstract information and do not apply them.

Principle of Realism

Reconstruction scenes should be filmed in the real workplace with real equipment. Reconstructions filmed in a studio or office lack credibility. Employees feel that the training speaks directly to them when they see the machinery they use and the environment in which they work.

Safety is nevertheless the first priority in hazardous scenarios. A fall is reconstructed with a mannequin or in a controlled environment, a chemical spill with a harmless liquid and a fire with controlled flame. A genuinely hazardous scenario must not be reconstructed with a real employee.

Animation and Motion-Graphic Support

Some concepts cannot be shown through reconstruction. Abstract subjects such as energy-flow diagrams, chemical-reaction processes and load distribution on the spine can be communicated much more effectively through animation. The ideal approach combines live reconstruction and animation: correct behaviour filmed on site together with a scientific explanation shown through animation.

Who Writes the Script?

The script for an OH&S training film is prepared jointly by the production team and the OH&S professional. The production team plans the visual narration and editing structure, while the OH&S professional ensures technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. Scripts prepared by only one side are either technically incomplete because the production team does not know the OH&S regulations or visually ineffective because the OH&S professional does not know film language.

Script-Approval Process

The company's OH&S professional must approve the draft script. Technical terms, procedural steps and regulatory references must be verified. Filming an unapproved script is an unacceptable risk.

Stage 2: Script Preparation

The production team and OH&S professional prepare the script together. Reconstruction scenes are planned in detail. The company's OH&S professional approves the script.

Stage 3: Filming

Reconstructions are filmed at the actual facility with real equipment. The OH&S professional attends the set on the filming day to verify technical accuracy. The filming crew works in full PPE.

Stage 4: Post-Production

Editing, motion graphics, voice-over and sound design are completed at this stage. In multilingual projects, each language is recorded and added separately. Delivery is prepared in an LMS-compatible format.

Stage 5: Approval and Delivery
