Corporate projects usually fall into one of three models: fully live-action production, a hybrid workflow that combines filmed material with AI-generated elements, or a largely designed visual world. The choice should not be driven by novelty. It should be based on what the audience needs to recognise as factual, where the film will be used and how much representational risk the brand can accept.
Where Can AI Be Used in the Video Production Process?
Concept and Script Development
AI can help compare narrative directions, condense an overlong client draft, test alternative structures and generate scene options. It should not decide the film's central message, audience or tone. Reference frames, storyboard alternatives and motion tests can make an unfilmed idea visible before the production day. How Do We Decide Whether a Project Needs AI?
Define the communication objective. Is the film intended for sales, a trade fair, corporate reputation, training or product communication?
Separate the elements that must remain factual. Which facilities, products, people, events or technical claims carry evidential value for the viewer?
Compare production methods. Could live action, motion graphics, archive footage or conventional compositing solve the same problem with greater control?
Test the critical shot. Before producing a long sequence, verify the key frame, movement, product accuracy and overall visual direction.
Plan delivery and usage. Languages, aspect ratios, media channels, licences and any disclosure requirement should be defined at the outset.
