This project brings together the 50-year journey of the ODTÜ Institute of Marine Sciences—from its foundation to the present—within one narrative combining scientific heritage, research activity and institutional development.

The institute’s contributions to marine science, its ongoing work, field research and collected data are presented through a chronological, story-led edit. This progression from past to present is not simply a historical account; it also provides a perspective on the real-world value of science in the field.

The objective was not only to show what had been achieved, but to make a 50-year scientific legacy visible and establish a confident framework for the future.
