A company’s face in the digital world is no longer only its website. The website is the skeleton; video is the living tissue over that skeleton. A company profile video is professional video content that introduces your company to prospective customers, business partners and investors. However, thinking of it only as “a video that introduces us” is inadequate. A correctly planned company profile video is also a tool for trust, a sales aid and an instrument of brand management.
The Importance of Video Content
Today, most companies recognise that they need video content. The real question is: which type of video should be produced for which purpose and which channel? “Company profile video” is an umbrella term containing several different formats. A factory owner and a software company do not have the same need. A film for an export company and a film for a local service company serve different objectives.
This guide examines in detail what a company profile video is, which types are available, how the content strategy is determined, where and how the film is used and how the budget should be planned.
Types of Company Profile Video
A company profile video is not one format. Different types produce different results according to your needs. Determining the type suitable for you is the first and most critical decision in the project.
General Corporate Profile Video
This is the classic format that explains who the company is, what it does and why it should be preferred in two to three minutes. It combines voice-over, filmed images, music and motion graphics. It is the principal video placed on the website homepage, shown in sales meetings and played at trade fairs. This is the most common and most requested company-profile format and is suitable for every sector and company size. At Medyabox, our ODTÜ DEKOSİM, Başbuğ Group and İSPARK projects were prepared in this format.
Story-Led Video
This format presents the company’s founding story, milestones and vision through an emotional narrative. It follows a chronological arc such as “We began in a small workshop; today we export to 40 countries.” It creates an emotional bond with the viewer and brings forward the human story behind the company. This format is particularly effective for established companies, family businesses and brands with a strong founding story. It is frequently preferred for anniversary projects.
Process and Capacity Video
This format shows the company’s working method, production capacity or service process step by step and provides a visual answer to the question “How do we work?” It is a powerful format for manufacturing companies, logistics businesses and technical service providers. Our Titiz Plastik project is a good example: a process flow was built from raw-material intake to production lines, quality control, R&D and finally global distribution. After watching the film, viewers see the company’s production capacity and approach to quality concretely.
Customer Testimonial Video
This format places existing customers in front of the camera to share their experiences. A success story told by a third person creates a much stronger effect than the company praising itself. Instead of saying “We are excellent,” hearing your customer say “Working with them is excellent” multiplies persuasive power. This format can be used independently or as one section of the general company profile video.
Internal Communication Video
This is an employee-facing video showing the corporate culture and working environment. It is used in human-resources efforts to attract talent, in orientation processes and in internal motivation events. Our Yurtbay Seramik #BenimKariyerim project is an example of this format: employees explained their career journeys in their own words.
Content Strategy: Decisions to Make before the Video
What Is Your Main Message?
The most common mistake in a company profile video is trying to explain everything. Attempting to fit the company history, all products, export successes, social-responsibility projects and corporate culture into three minutes means that no message remains memorable. When the viewer remembers one sentence, what should that sentence be? The answer is your main message. “We are Türkiye’s largest manufacturer of plastic household goods,” “We are a reliable supplier exporting to 30 countries,” or “We manage Istanbul’s parking infrastructure”—every project should be shaped around one core message.
Who Is Your Target Audience?
The same company may need different videos for different target audiences. A video aimed at prospective customers emphasises service capacity and reliability. A video for investors brings forward growth potential and financial strength. A film for prospective employees shows corporate culture and career opportunities. A dealer video explains the product range and support structure. One video cannot address all these audiences simultaneously. Begin with a general profile video addressing the broadest audience, then create audience-specific versions according to need.
What Will the Tone of the Video Be?
Your sector and brand identity determine the video’s tone. A law firm requires a serious and authoritative tone. A technology start-up can use a dynamic and energetic tone. A food brand can be warm and sincere. An industrial organisation may prefer a strong and reassuring tone. At Medyabox, we complete a tone analysis for every project. The voice, music, editing rhythm and visual language are determined according to your brand identity.
Where Can You Use a Company Profile Video?
Website
A company profile video placed on the homepage increases the visitor’s time on the page. Pages containing video have a higher conversion rate than pages without video. The ideal duration for a website is two to three minutes. The video should not autoplay; it should begin when the user clicks it, because autoplay disturbs visitors.
YouTube and Vimeo
When the company profile video is uploaded to YouTube, it may appear as a video snippet in Google search results. A YouTube result for a search such as “company name + corporate film” strengthens brand awareness. Vimeo is preferred for professional portfolio presentations because it offers a cleaner viewing experience.
Social Media
The full-length company profile video should not be shared on social media because attention spans are very short. Short versions of 30–60 seconds should be prepared instead. LinkedIn requires a horizontal format and professional tone, Instagram a vertical format and dynamic edit, and TikTok a 15–30-second fast-paced version. Platform-specific versions can be produced from the same filmed material. At Medyabox, we deliver separate web, social-media and trade-fair versions in every project.
Trade Fairs and Events
A company profile video playing at a trade-fair stand increases visitor traffic. The trade-fair version is specific: it should have subtitles because the environment is noisy, support looped playback and remain within one to two minutes.
Sales Presentations and Email
Sharing a video link in the first email sent to a prospective customer increases the response rate. In sales presentations, the video is used as the opening, followed by the detailed discussion.
Export and B2B Platforms
Company profiles containing video on Alibaba, Made-in-Turkey and sector-specific platforms receive much higher viewing figures. An English-voice-over version is mandatory for exporting companies. Our article Why Factory Video Is Critical for Export Trust examines the role of video in international markets in detail.
Common Company-Profile Video Mistakes
Trying to Explain Everything
Trying to fit the company history, complete product range, export achievements, social-responsibility projects, corporate culture and future objectives into three minutes produces one result: no message remains memorable. Define one main message and let everything else support it.
Filming without a Script
The approach “bring the camera and let us film something” may produce visually attractive frames, but it does not communicate a message. A video filmed without a script is a collection of disconnected images placed side by side; it has no story, rhythm or purpose.
Using Stock Footage
Using stock footage in a company profile video damages credibility. The viewer asks, “Is this real?” The office in stock footage is not your office, and the people in stock footage are not your team. Professional filming costs more than stock footage, but the difference in credibility is not comparable. The only acceptable exception is limited stock use for graphic transitions, city panoramas or abstract concepts. Stock footage should never be used in scenes claiming to show the company itself.
Clichéd Voice-Over Copy
“Our company, which offers innovative solutions from a leading position in the sector and adopts customer satisfaction as a principle…” Sentences of this kind fit every company in every sector and say nothing. The viewer stops paying attention. Provide concrete information instead: “We manufacture more than 400 products at our 25,000 m² facility” or “We manage parking capacity for 35,000 vehicles across Istanbul’s 39 districts.” Figures are stronger than adjectives, and concrete facts are stronger than promises.
Making It Too Long
A company profile video longer than five minutes is not watched. Attention spans are short, particularly on websites and social media. The ideal duration is two to three minutes. When you have a great deal to explain, produce a series of short videos focused on different subjects instead of one long film.
Company Profile Video and SEO
Video Supports Website SEO
Website pages containing video generate longer dwell time and a lower bounce rate on Google. These metrics signal to Google that the page is valuable. They indirectly strengthen its potential for organic ranking.
YouTube SEO Opportunity
YouTube is owned by Google, and video snippets appear in Google search results. Your YouTube video appearing for a search such as “company name + corporate film” is a strong trust signal for prospective customers researching the brand. The title, description and tags should be written with SEO in mind when the film is uploaded. A title format such as “Company Name — Corporate Profile Film | Video Production” covers both the brand and the service term.
Company Profile Video Budget Guide
Budget Ranges
Basic company profile video—two minutes, one location, voice-over and simple editing: 50,000–90,000 TL. Standard company profile video—two to three minutes, drone, interview and professional editing: 90,000–150,000 TL. Comprehensive company profile video—three to four minutes, multiple locations, multilingual versions and motion graphics: 150,000–250,000 TL. Our Corporate Video Prices 2026 article explains the cost items in detail. Our Video Production Prices 2026 article compares the budgets of all video types.
Return on Investment
A company profile video is actively used for an average of two to four years. When a 120,000 TL video is used for three years, its monthly cost is approximately 3,300 TL. This is far below the cost of one trade-fair participation, several months of Google Ads or the monthly salary of one salesperson. In terms of cost–effect balance, it is one of the most efficient marketing investments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are a company profile video and a corporate promotional film the same thing?
Yes. They describe the same service. “Corporate promotional film” is the more widely used term. “Company profile video” is preferred particularly for videos prepared for digital channels. The production process and quality standard are the same.
Which type of company profile video is suitable for us?
This depends on your company’s sector, target audience and purpose of use. Manufacturing companies generally prefer process-and-capacity videos, service companies story-led or testimonial videos and public institutions corporate-communication videos. We determine the need together during the briefing meeting.
Can one video be used on all channels?
Different channel-specific versions are prepared from the same filmed material: the full-length version for the website, 30–60 seconds for social media and a looped version for trade fairs. Uploading the same video unchanged to every platform is not correct because each platform has its own format and viewing behaviour.
What is expected from us on the filming day?
It is sufficient to organise the location before filming—cleanliness and order—identify the people who will be interviewed and have one authorised representative present on set on the filming day. The filming crew manages the complete technical process.
We have an existing video, but it needs updating. What can be done?
New footage can be added, the voice-over updated or a new edit produced from the existing material. A complete reshoot may not be necessary. Update projects are more economical than filming from the beginning.
Does video contribute to SEO?
Yes. Website pages containing video generate longer dwell time and a lower bounce rate. A video uploaded to YouTube may appear as a video snippet in Google search results. Both situations contribute indirectly to organic visibility.
How much does a company profile video cost?
The budget varies according to the project scope. A basic project starts from 50,000 TL, a standard project from 90,000 TL and a comprehensive project from 150,000 TL. Our Corporate Video Prices 2026 article shares the detailed cost items.
